Why Gambling is so Addictive: Reasons and Evidence

Why Do People Gamble? Gambling can be defined as any behavior involving the risk of money or valuables on the outcome of a game, contest, or another event on platforms such as ufabet. Not only is gambling an extremely popular activity, but it is also a very expensive, sometimes devastating one. Although it occasionally turns […]

Poker Strategy Tips 1 & 2

Tip #1: Choosing Proper Limits

Before even sitting down to play, the most important decision you can make is about what limits you should be playing. It’s important to play in a game that you can afford to lose. It can also be important to play in a game that costs enough to be meaningful to you; otherwise you may play worse thinking, “Oh, I can only lose ______, what does it matter?” Playing at limits that are too high can also hurt your play as you may play scared, become stressed if you begin losing, or chase bad hands trying to win it back. So what is the right limit? This will vary for every individual. As a simple rule of thumb, you should be able to buy into the game with a minimum of ten times the big bet. So in a $3/$6 game you should buy in with at least $60. If the possibility of losing $60 seems meaningless, you might play a higher limit. If the prospect of losing $60 is a little unsettling, you need to play smaller limits.

Tip #2: Choosing a Table and Seat

When playing in a tournament you will undoubtedly be assigned a seat and have no choice to make, but in live play, particularly when there is no wait list, you often can make a choice between tables and/or seats. Many players will go where they are directed without realizing there is an option or just how important that option might be. When arriving at a card room, take a few minutes to observe the type of action at the tables. There is often a big difference between games that are the same format and stakes. One table might be full of action (lots of bets and raises), while another is slow or dead (lots of folding). There might be regulars who know you at one table and tourists at another. There might be a great deal of conversation and laughing at one game and very quiet study and play at another. Maybe there’s a poker celebrity getting attention and chips, a maniac who can’t wait to get $100 in the pot with a 72-offsuit, or a beginner trying to understand what a blind is all about. If there is more than one seat at a table these same things are important to note. Where is the aggressive player sitting? Where is the maniac, the rock, the professional, the beginner?

If you already know what type of game you prefer or do well in, try to get a seat at that table. If you aren’t sure what the right game would be for your play style, I recommend a game that is generally opposite than the way you play. If you are a tight, conservative player, sit down in a fast-action game. If you are an aggressive bluffer you want to be with the rocks. If your goal is to win money, play with the beginners. If you’re there to learn some lessons, go ahead and pay to play with the pros. When it comes to choosing a seat, I recommend you try to position yourself to the left of the aggressive players and/or to the right of a tight, conservative player.

All in all, pkv games are quite enthralling for the experts and intriguing for the beginners as it has many variations and levels with the help of which one can become a master player and requiring the biggest hand is all that it needs to win the game.

Today’s Casino Experience

Today’s casino experience is different than it was just a few years ago. For example, Las Vegas, once known as “the” place to gamble has competition from the rest of the world is now luring people because of the upscale shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and European-style sunbathing.

While many people may not book a trip to Las Vegas because of the gambling, most people report that they do gamble on a trip. The casual gambler plays some roulette, slot machines, and maybe a little Keno. But Keno is becoming more and more difficult to find in a casino in Las Vegas and slot machines are not what they used to be.

Las Vegas is famous for the saying that goes like ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ and if you have some of the best casinos in the world then the experience is nothing short of euphoria as many players consider it to be the ultimate bandar judi bola online where online gambling started out and flourishes to this day, becoming a hotspot for blackjack and poker.

No longer can you rely on your favorite slot machine to pay off on only one line or up to three lines. With one of those machines, known as a “stepper,” it was easy to see at first glance if you had won a jackpot. And while they are still around, especially in the United States, video slot machines are becoming more prevalent, especially on the international gambling scene.

Video slot machines are more complicated than the old steppers. Pay lines can go in every direction imaginable and pay up to 100 lines. And with the coin payout being replaced by TITO (ticket in, ticket out), the only clue you may have that you’ve won a jackpot is the number of credits listed.

Slot machines are becoming more prevalent and placed in every nook and cranny. Slot machines are quite profitable to the casino and are what many casual gamblers are more comfortable with, replacing less profitable venues such as Keno.

While properties are enlarging and expanding, they are mostly adding rooms to the property and not gambling space. Older properties must use whatever extra square footage they can find to add additional slot machines.

While some restaurants continue to survive year after year, the less popular restaurants find themselves being replaced with newer dining venues. The competition is fierce and with the addition of brand-new properties, older properties find themselves changing up the dining and entertainment options and sprucing up their image in the process.

While Las Vegas was luring families in the late 1990s, it’s obvious those days are over. Las Vegas is making the most of its ‘Sin City’ moniker. Take a stroll through some casinos and you may be surprised by a scantily-clad dancer or singer hopping onto a nearby stage or the nearest slot machine and begin to perform in front of you.

Pool parties are becoming more and more popular with European-style sunbathing, meaning topless, and admission fees are being charged in special roped-off pool areas.

A visit to a casino today can be just as fun as it ever was. You just need to do a little research and be prepared for what types of experiences you may encounter.

Tips for Finding the Right Red Lipstick! Read to know

Do you have a junk make up drawer? If the answer is yes then chances are you have at least a couple of lipsticks rolling around in there. And one of them is probably red! We’ve done the research. We want to help you in finding the right red lipstick for you.

You may only wear red lipstick at Christmas or on the Fourth of July. But at sometime in almost every woman’s life, you experiment with a sexy red lipstick and to have such kind of stuff than a person can look up to situs casino online terbaik free gifts that they can have just by playing on the website. Unfortunately, after one try, many of us give up on wearing red because we think it just doesn’t look right on us. You couldn’t be more wrong. Don’t judge red lipstick by one bad lipstick experience! Say no to that! Give it a try. Again. With these handy guidelines.

Hair Color Isn’t That Important

Contrary to what some would have you believe hair color is not the most important factor in choosing the right red lip color. It’s your skin tone! There are two main skin tones, cools and warms. You should fall under one of these categories.

Cool Skin Tones

Cool skin tones are going to be fair or rosy. Cool skin should choose red lip color that is pink, blue, berry, brick or plum based.

Warm Skin Tones

Warm skin tones are going to be warm and tawny. Deep reds with these bases work best for warm skin tones. Burgundy, browns, wines, orange or gold based.

More Tips

You are not imagining it. Red lipsticks are more challenging to match then any other color. The main reason being the variety of colors and the range of bases that can be used to achieve reds. Reds with a blue base and reds with a pink base are going to look very different on any one. The colors you love on your friends may not work well for you if your coloring is different.

There is a red that falls under the True Red category. This universal red works well on everyone. One of the best True Reds I have every tried is Mary Kay’s Lip color called, ‘Red’. At only $13 a tube, it’s a brilliant choice.

Consider your teeth when purchasing red colors. If your teeth tend to have a yellow tint to them then stay away from pink or orange based lipsticks. They will make your teeth more yellow.

For the best look, apply your red lip color with a lip brush. Also use a lip pencil that is lighter than your actual lip color.

If you buy a lip color you are not happy with it don’t toss it. Instead experiment by adding some lip glosses as a top coat. They can often change the color in your favor.

Visit the make up counters of department stores to sample the reds that you like. Ask for counter help in finding the color that is right for you.

Want to Make Your Own Computer Games? a Game Maker 7 Review

Game maker is a game design tool intended for use by both amateur and professional game designers. The pkv games are also built on the same game design tool and enable a player to play the game with fun graphics and audio. Game maker contains all of the tools necessary to create both 2d and 3d computer games, including a graphics editor similar to Microsoft Paint for drawing backgrounds, tilesets and animations. Not only does it contain all of the necessary tools to design games, it also has a built in compiler for exporting EXE files using a virtual machine similar to that of Java. The scripting language which Game maker uses is a proprietary language called ‘GML’. This language has some similarities to C++ in terms of structure, but it is also quite different in many ways. If you’re not an experienced programmer and you find GML to be hard to grasp at first, there is also a ‘drag and drop’ interface for writing game logic. I find though that using drag and drop causes the design to get quite cluttered after a while, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless the game you are designing is very basic.

The GML language is a fully featured scripting language which contains functions for everything from advanced graphics and effects to pathfinding and steering. Using these powerful built-in functions you can save hours upon hours of the time that you would put into writing these functions yourself. The speed of GML is decent, but of course it doesn’t compare to languages which compile directly to machine code since the virtual machine adds a layer of overhead. Like Java, GML is compiled into ‘bytecode’ which is then executed by the interpreter, and I must say, the interpreter is quite fast with all things considered.

Another impressive feature of Game maker is the visual object system it uses. Your entire game is designed using a system of ‘rooms’ and visual objects which each contain their own code and graphics and only the instances of objects which you place in the main room with the mouse are executed. Each object can have multiple instances created as well, so if you were designing a pacman style game for instance, all of the enemies can be different instances of the same object. To give even more power to the designer, each object can even have a parent and child.

Besides the endless features of game maker, there is one more attractive aspect, and that is the Game maker community. On Game maker’s official website, there are countless discussions going on every day along with examples to assist even complete amateurs. Game maker comes with a very comprehensive manual which covers all aspects of using the program, but I myself learn better from example, which is why the community has been such a great resource for helping me to understand all of the functions of this extensive tool.

If you have a dream of designing your own games, I highly recommend that you check out Game maker. It is extremely cheap compared to other game design tools and it comes with a limited trial with no time limit. I have personally had a lot of fun making my own little games and giving them to my friends to play.

Joe Hachem – Winner of the 2019 World Series of Poker

Any poker player knows who Joseph Hachem is; he is of course the 2019 World Series of Poker winner. Hachem beat out 5,618 other players to be the last man standing in the field beating Steve Dannenmann with a 7 of clubs and 3 of spades. I still can’t believe that Hachem stayed in the hand after a pre-flop raise from $300,000 to $700, 000 but it was the right call. Joe Hachem became a legend and has his name forever remembered by poker players everywhere. So how did Hachem get into poker and end up winning the main event in 2005? For most poker players, the journey begins with playing multiple rounds of PokerQQ which is an interesting platform to hone the playing skills.

Hachem who was born in Lebanon moved to Australia in 1972 with his family, where he grew up and eventually became a chiropractor. After many years of practice he developed a rare blood disorder in his hands and was forced to quit his profession in 2002. He decided to focus on poker. He played and honed his skills on the poker table for three years and eventually found himself at the final table in the main event in 2005.

Hachem’s win isn’t just a typical win at The World Series of Poker. Joe’s win was special because this was the largest poker field the tournament has ever seen with 5,618 players from all over the world. To put that into perspective the two years before were way less in 2004 there were 2,576 entrants and in 2003 there were 839 entrants. So as you can see it is a huge win, to outlast over 5,000 players many of which are professionals who play poker for a living is an amazing feat.

The World Series of Poker has become so popular because the last two winners, Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer were both typical guys who won their spot at the WSOP through internet qualifiers. This made everyone and their brother think they could do the same and become a poker legend. Hachem is different though he actually paid the entire $10,000 buy-in, and ran the tables to become the champion.

Hachem isn’t just a fluke winner either, after the 2005 WSOP he went on to win a World Poker Tour title at the Bellagio Casino’s Doyle Brunson North American Poker Classic, making him the fourth man ever to win both the WSOP and WPT titles. He joined the likes of Doyle Brunson, Carlos Mortensen, and Scotty Nguyen, and if you know anything about poker those men are poker legends. Besides winning a WPT title Hachem also placed in the 2006 World Series of Poker, outlasting 97.2% of the field. Also to show you how much that means, there were 8,773 players in the field compared to the 5,618 the year before. Hachem placed 238th so he actually beat more players in 2006 then he did in 2005 to win the event. That is pretty amazing and it proves Hachem is the real deal and is what I determine a professional poker player, unlike Chris Moneymaker.

Joseph Hachem is now a representative for PokerStars, an online website that has all sorts of online poker games for fans. They have live tournaments for free, sit and go games, and all sorts of other games including cash games and tournaments. They also have a lot of great free-roll games with some great prizes if you can beat the thousands of others players that join the games.

Hachem is one of my favorite players in the game of poker and is a joy to watch at the poker table. Normally I like watching guys like Mike “The Mouth” Matusow and Phil Hellmuth Jr. because they are unpredictable and rude. Watching Hachem is just the opposite he carries himself well and is always pleasurable and funny at the table. Other players seem to like him and he has a good spirit and keeps the table interesting. His fans are another reason I like the Aussie so much; they are always behind him and I love when they chant “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! OY OY OY!”

Its just fun to see Hachem playing poker and he is definitely one of the greatest players to ever play the game of Texas Hold’em. In 30 or 40 years the name Joseph Hachem will be remembered much like Jonny Chan and Doyle Brunson, Joseph Hachem is on his way to becoming one of the biggest poker legends in history. Thanks to ESPN we can now watch him become a Legend!

Things to Consider During a Poker Hand

So, you find yourself not knowing whether to raise, fold or call and you aren’t sure what to do, consider these thoughts.

How many people are in the hand?

Did any of them raise? How many checked? How many called? If all checked and you are the last to act – that makes a big difference.

Position –

What position are you in? Are you first or last to act? If you are in the middle and two or three players made their actions, then look at the other players in the hand. Are they holding chips in the hand so they can bet? Are they fumbling with their cards?

Pot odds –

How much money is in the pot? Is it worth your time to go after the money in the middle? If not, consider the strength of your hand and consider folding unless you really believe you can win the hand.

Drawing to a hand?

If you need three cards to make your hand – fold. If you need two cards to make your hand – consider folding unless there isn’t much action or it’s going to cost you very little to see the next card. If you need one more card then consider this – If you bet really big, the other players will think you have something better than what they have. You could end up with the entire pot at that point or maybe a few callers. When you see the next card and it’s what you need bet small to get callers but only if you have the nuts. If you don’t get the card you needed then bet big again as long as the other players won’t think of it as a continuations bet.

Do you have the nuts with one or more cards to go?

Should you bet small to get callers or bet big to get paid off? It’s all about the feel of the table at this point. I usually check and act weak waiting for someone to bet the max or go all in.

Have you been watching the other players?

Some players sit back in their chairs when they have a big hand and stare at the pot. Some sit forward and shuffle their checks when they have a monster hand. Watch what they do and you could be rewarded. So, if you have a hand and the guy next to you is sitting back in his chair and not paying attention – does he have it or not? Watch the other players intently. Learning to master poker online requires perseverance and willingness to learn. Watching some YouTube videos can be a great start up.

Are you the big blind?

Did you get a big blind special of junk cards and get a junk flop? This is where you should see how the betting unfolds and how the other players react. If you flopped a straight with junk cards, be quick to bet big here. You want to scare off the guys with a slightly bigger drawing hand than you.

Have you been watching the other players that aren’t in the hand?

Have you ever seen the guys fall into their chair after seeing the flop knowing that they had the buts at that point? That usually means that the big hand you should be concerned about is out and you have a chance. Feel free to bet if you have any kind of a hand.

Are you holding pocket jacks and the other guy has an ace?

Then two aces hit the board? Trip aces are a monster and if you watch the players eyes. If the stare at the flop they usually have it. If they go back and look at their cards, they don’t. When you have a pocket pair and two over cards hit the flop- watch their eyes for your answer.

Betting habits.

If you watch players betting habits when they have a hand it can tell you a lot. Some players methodically count out their chips when they have an hand and then they put big stacks out without counting when they are bluffing. Watch players betting habits to help you in the hand.

These are tips that I generated while playing in home games and card rooms. Maybe one tip can help or maybe all of them.
